Midsummer Midnight Walk

History

Ashgate Hospice opened in 1988 as a purpose built specialist palliative care unit for the people of North Derbyshire and is situated some two miles to the west of Chesterfield. The Hospice was created by upgrading Ashgate Annex, which is a Grade II listed building and adding a new extension for the In-Patient Unit. The old house was used for the Day Centre and offices.

Work was completed in April 2005 on a further substantial building development which included additional beds, an outpatient suite, and a purpose built Day Centre.
