Caring for patients in our Day Centre

Coming to the Day Centre provides people with life-limiting illnesses the opportunity to maintain their independence at home while benefiting from the full range of Hospice services.

Whilst remaining under the care of their GP, attending the Day Centre gives patients access to specialist medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychology and chaplaincy services.

As well as benefiting from the specialist services, patients meet and gain support from others who also have similar experiences and have the opportunity to join in a variety of diversional therapies and activities including painting and drawing, needlecraft, IT and snooker.

The Day Centre is open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 3pm. Transport, lunch, refreshments and all treatments/activities are free of charge. Patients attend usually for one day per week.
